It's November and the leaves are finally starting to change here in South Carolina. This photo was taken at Auldbrass near Beaufort, SC this past Sunday - it is on the property of Auldbrass, a plantation that was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and now owned by Joel Silver (of Matrix and V for Vendetta fame among many others) - in fact while visiting the house we had the good fortune to be able to see the Oscars that Mr. Silver won for the Matrix movies, so awesome!

Auldbrass is the only plantation that F.L.Wright ever designed, and Mr. Silver has put over 30 million into this property to restore to the glory that Wright envisioned the property. It's all 80 degree angles and when Silver visits they even cut the grass at an 80 degree angle!

It's very beautiful just how vibrant the colors are in this shot. When we think of autumn and winter oftentimes the color palette is quite a bit more drab than a season such as spring, but that certainly is not the case here!

Definitely not! As I was driving around today I noted the bright yellows and reds and oranges in the area, so beautiful especially glowing in the rain we had today.

LOL, well, I meant besides the obvious flare up of warm colors in the autumn season. I, of course, did not forget about such iconic imagery! :D

It's unfortunate that such beautiful foliage is relatively short-lived, however. It's already fading in my area and many of the leaves are falling away, their beautiful fiery tones dulling to browns and grays. :(

:) And yes, it is a sad thing that we can only enjoy the beautiful colors for a short time, but I guess it just goes to show that with every passing month there is something different to photograph that makes our world beautiful. If it stayed the same then it might grow boring. I am glad I live in a place where we can see all seasons (well except for snow though our little one day of snow is good enough!).
