(250 Auldbrass)
Location: Main house with swimming pool and cabana. This was taken last Sunday on my trip down near Beaufort to visit Auldbrass - which is one of Frank Lloyd Wright's designs, his only plantation. It's owned by Joel Silver, of Matrix and V for Vendetta fame (among many others). This is one of the guest cottages on the property. Wright's architecture on this plantation is all 80 degree angles, and they even cut the grass into 80 degree angles when Silver visits (4 to 5 times a year). Wright made the actual buildings to emulate the old oaks, and the drainpipes were made to resemble the hanging spanish moss. Coolest thing (besides being able to visit) was seeing the actual Oscars that Joel Silver won for the Matrix movies inside the house! No photography inside the buildings, but it was a wonderful moment!
